Inaugural South Coast Tech Awards finalists announced

A very strong line-up of the region’s top tech companies has been announced in the first ever South Coast Tech Awards. Over 80 entries demonstrated the strength and breadth of the region’s technology innovation.

The awards take place on 5 December at the Hilton at the Ageas Bowl. The evening’s host will be technology presenter and computer scientist Spencer Kelly, who has reported on tech issues from around the world for over 20 years.

The awards are sponsored by Aura Technology, Onecom, Sanderson, Wilkins Kennedy, BDB Pitmans, Irwin Mitchell, Smith & Williamson, University of Southampton Science Park, Hilton at the Ageas Bowl, and Carswell Gould.

“An awards night highlighting the importance of technology businesses in the south coast economy is long overdue,” said Peter Laurie, head of client relations at awards organiser The Business Magazine.

He added: “We are delighted with the high number and quality of entries, from small start-ups with brilliant ideas to well-established companies offering world-beating technologies. Our finalists fully deserve their places on the shortlist for what promises to be a fantastic awards ceremony.”
